"Saúl is a top footballer," said Julian Nagelsmann, coach of RB Leipzig, when asked in a recent interview about the Atlético de Madrid players he most feared.  Something logical because the illicit footballer has marked all the German teams against which he has played so far.  RB Leipzig may be your next victim.

Of the 41 goals that Saúl has with Atlético de Madrid, three of them have been made to the three German teams against which he has played.  Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund.  A streak that started right after the footballer was about to lose a kidney on his first visit to Teutonic soil.  After that he has tattooed on his wrist so as not to forget: "Strength does not come from body capacity but from the will of the soul."

It happened on February 25, 2015 on his visit to the Bay Arena.  A collision with Papadopoulos ended with the substituted player, and he was transferred to the hospital among tremors, vomits and convulsions and there they performed a CT scan.  He had to stay in the hospital for several days before being able to return to Spain.  Even for a time he had to wear a catheter and urinate blood after every training session and game.  Now, everything is forgotten but at the moment the Germans are suffering the consequences ...

On April 27, 2016 he left one of the most beautiful goals of his career and that they hardly forget in Germany.  He scored his most Maradonian goal for Bayern Munich.  He left up to four opponents to beat Neuer in heads-up play.  A real goal that gave the rojiblancos victory in the Vicente Calderón and that was key for them to qualify for the final.

In 2017 he returned to the Bay Arena and in the 17th minute left another work of art.  A left-footed shot from outside the box slipped through by Leno's squad.  A goal with which he compensated himself for so much suffering that he had spent two years ago in that place.  The match ended 2-4 and the lap 0-0, and the mattresses advanced to the quarters.

In 2018 it was Borussia Dortmund who saw Saúl celebrate a goal that marked a German team.  It happened in the Metropolitan.  That day the Alicante reopened the scoreboard, this time his beauty was not as superlative as the previous ones.  He came after a pass behind Filipe Luis and also served for the mattresses to win the game, this time 2-0.

Now it's up to RB Leipzig.  At the moment German team against which he has played, team he has scored….
