The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has decided to quarantine players before starting training for the qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
ANFA, which is preparing to start training from September 1, has written to the players through the concerned club for reporting on July 4. According to ANFA General Secretary Indraman Tuladhar, 35 players have been called for training on the basis of the performance of the Martyrs' Memorial A Division League held in the first week of February.
Players involved in the training will have to stay in quarantine for 14 days and PCR will be mandatory. Accordingly, ANFA is making necessary preparations, said Tuladhar.
In ANFA, Lalitpur Metropolitan City is currently using it as a quarantine. After the evacuation, the players involved in the training will be housed in ANFA's hostel, said Tuladhar.
Tuladhar informed that the hostel will be vacated and sanitized before the players stay. Until then, discussions are underway in the Kathmandu Valley to keep home players and self-employed players in-home quarantine and in hotels for players from outside the Kathmandu Valley, said Tuladhar.
"Two or three options are being discussed. Put all the players in quarantine at the hotel. In that case, the hotel staff will also have to undergo a PCR test, keeping only players from outside the Valley in the hotel ', Tuladhar said,' We will only work by fulfilling all the health standards given by the government. We will keep it in ANFA's own hostel after it is safe in all respects. '
A meeting of the cabinet on Tuesday decided to allow international competitions and start preliminary training, with ANFA moving ahead with the process of preparing for the World Cup qualifiers.

According to the new game schedule, Nepal will play Chinese Taipei on October 8 (October 8) and Australia five days later (October 27). Nepal will complete its World Cup qualifiers against Jordan on November 12 (November 12).
The top five teams in the five-nation group will qualify for the Asian Cup and participate in the third round of the World Cup qualifiers. The top four teams will also advance to the third round of the World Cup as well as the Asian Cup, while the top three teams will advance to the third round of the Asian Cup. When the top four teams in the group reach the third round of the Asian Cup qualifiers, the rest of the teams will have to play in the playoffs to reach the qualifiers.
Looking at the results so far, Nepal is in a position to play in the playoffs for the Asian Cup qualifiers. Nepal is expected to achieve good results in the remaining three games. Nepal has not played the internationally recognized FIFA game after the stadium was damaged due to the earthquake.
